Can I get a minute to breath?
What's good everyone? I've been behind the scenes all year in a lot of prayer, and even fasting. I've also been preaching a lot this year, more than I've been performing. God has me on a whole new level this entire year. I'm NOT quitting music! I've accepted the charge of waking in the fullness of my ministerial calling as the Youth Pastor in my home church. And working side by side with my Bishop, as I'm building my record label brand. Plus I'm now a married man! After all that I've been through, I still have my Joy! God has blessed to find a true woman of God to take as my wife. And I'm not the same!
While studying and praying, I've taking myself out of the music industry circle, and began to weed out the real from the fake in this industry. After being fraudulently scammed by the label "Serum Music" (ran by Rhan Ferdinand aka Rhan Blaze), I truly had to separate myself from all the nonsense for my own sanity. They don't have distribution with Fontana/Universal, as their so-called claimed contracts, and all they are about is getting people's money to make their living. They don't care about the artists that they use and rip off. AND I DON'T CARE IF SOMEBODY GO TO THEM, AND TELL THEM THAT I'M PUTTING THEM ON BLAST! I GOT ALL THE EVIDENCE AGAINST THEM, PLUS THE BREACHED CONTRACT, BANK STATEMENTS, EMAILS, TEXT MESSAGES, AND PICTURES WITH RHAN SIGNING THE CONTRACT AT MY CHURCH THAT NIGHT. SO RUN AND TELL THAT! THIS GUY JACKED ME OF 6 GRAND TO PAY HIS MORTGAGE, CHEAT ON HIS WIFE WITH MISTRESSES TAKING THEM ON EXPENSIVE TRIPS, ETC. AND HE EVEN PUT OUT A FALSE ACCUSATION ABOUT ME. I had to pray and let all go before God. And God is going to avenge me of this ordeal. Whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap.
With that being said, I've been experienced a lot of frauds in the industry. Phony people who've made themselves to be something that they weren't; claiming that they know people, like Russell Simmons, Diddy, or even Kevin Liles, and none of them know them personally that they can call them and make something happen. And I've even been to major labels and met with A&Rs that made promises and never followed up.
So I had to separate myself from all the corruption. And start brand new and fresh. I no longer deal with those fraudulent individuals anymore, and I had to pray for God to send me real and true people to work by my side in this industry. It's even gotten deeper to the point of not ministering in certain churches, and/or Gospel musicals. I can't stand fake and phony Christians, who have a form of godliness, but deny the power there of. Those be the same ones who love to judge and criticize from the pulpit leading praise and worship. And they haven't even been in presence of God behind their own closed doors. And not to be funny, or anything, but if you call yourself "The Ambassador Of Praise & Worship", you should already be anointed to lead folks into the glory, that you yourself wouldn't have to threaten, or put off on people cause they are not in the "Spirit" of worship. THAT IS A JEZEBEL SPIRIT! Get yourself right first, and other will follow. Folks claiming to be spiritual and walking with the mind of Christ, but they're Ego tripping and operating in their flesh.
The days of BRAGGING RIGHTS in the body of Christ is OVER! You're either real, or you're not. And I refused to operate around folks who walk in the place of mediocrity. God didn't call me to be a local wonder. And this is no offense to anybody.

I've been looked down all of my life. I've been hated on, talked about, mistreated, and even let down. I've been put down by both the world and the church. I've always been the Champion of The Underdogs. I'm just Blessed, Highly Favored, and Anointed! And there isn't anything, nor nothing that anybody can do about it! I am Q The Prophet! And you can either love me, or hate me. And I don't care about titles, positions, status, or your mere carnal accomplishments; I DEMAND RESPECT! I've always been the humble person that folks love to take my kindness for weakness. Just because I haven't been Bobby Jones Gospel, or graced the Stellar Awards, that doesn't take away from artistry, or my ministry. And just because I haven't been on Hot 97, BET's 106 & Park yet, doesn't mean that I'm not talented. Those things don't make me at the end of the day. All I care about is living to please God, and winning souls into His Kingdom, bottom line!
I had to get this off my chest, and clear my consciousness. Please pray for me cause I'm on the frontline for the Kingdom. And I don't have time for folks nonsense. I don't need man's approval to be accepted. God has called me, and my Bishop has validated my election.

I'm excited about lives being touched and transformed, whenever I hit the stage with the mic in my hand.
Would you rather be a famous musician or a famous actor?
I would be a famous musician, cause I was born with musical talents and abilities.
Why be called a "Soul Hustler" instead of the "Soul Winner?" Is being labled a hustler a contradiction according to God's word?
I know my take on the word Hustler is no contradiction to God's word. A hustler is one who moves or acts energetically, or rapidly. And it's the passion and drive I have to win souls into the Kingdom of God.

As you all already know I'm putting together my first musical band. I mean a full band consisting of a talented drummer, talented base player, talented keyboardist, talent guitarist, talented saxophonist, talented trumpeter, talented trombonist, talented percussionist, and a talented xylophonist all along with some talented background singers for these purposes:
1) to officially sign to my indie label Prophets I Music Group doing in studio & live recordings.
2) to travel & tour doing live shows across the globe.
3) to usher in a new wave of sound with a positive and spiritual message through music.
*MUST BE A NEW YORK RESIDENT BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 21 THROUGH 45.
*Auditions for Vocalist will Kick Off in Jamaica-Queens, NY @ Level 7 Cafe 157-11 111th Avenue, Jamaica, NY 11433* STRICTLY FOR VOCALIST (MALE & FEMALE).
Auditions for Musicians will be taking place on every Saturday in the month of February on the 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th between the hours of 12:00pm Noon to 7PM. And there are being held at BFT 1368 St. Johns Place bet. Utica & Schenectady Aves in Brooklyn, NY 11213.
And there will be a $20 Registration Fee for every individual Musician & Vocalist that's auditioning. Must be talented, eclectic & versatile in all genres of music, willing to travel, and have what it takes to be in a band. No Gimmicks! No Nonsense! No Egos! No Sadity Attitudes! Bring your A game and do your thing!
All musicians are responsible to bring their own equipment. If you would like to bring your own amps, you are more than welcomed to. We are not at all liable for any missing or broken equipment, so please be responsible of your own stuff.
We're looking to make an Eclectic band versatile in the genres of Hip-Hop, Rock N Roll, Pop, Urban, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Salsa & Merengue, and Reggae. And making it a cross between The Roots, Black Eye Peas, Dave Mathews Band, P.O.D, Bob Marley & The Wailers, James Brown & The JBs, Mint Condition, Roy Ayers, Tito Puente, and Earth Wind And Fire, with an edge of today's sound. Please come prepared and ready to play anything on the spot.

If I Can't Google You, You're NOBODY!
INDICATIONS FOR THIS TYPE OF BLOG:
1, This is not a throw off on any Promoter, Self-Employed Music Mogul/Exec, or anybody that's on the major come up in doing what love in the Music Business.
2, This is to make Unsigned Artists aware of what fraudulent games are happening in the Major & Underground Scenes of this industry.
3, THIS IS STRAIGHT TRUTH WITH NO CHASER, SO TAKE IT HOW YOU WANT IT!
Hear me well and where I'm going with this subject. In my journeys as an unsigned artist, I've got to meet a lot of profound & influential people in the game, and even had to rock on the same stages as these artists, both Christian and Secular. I've won artist showcase competitions coming in 1st place, been nominated with an Underground Music Award in 2007, been featured on mixtapes with DJ Tony Tone (BKS), on through to DJ Kay Slay. But in the midst of all the great things I've experience the lows in my career dealing with "Shady" individuals claiming to be something when they're not.
My advice to you all my fellow unsigned artists; whenever you come across an individual that claims to be somebody of importance, whether an A&R, Asst. VP, or producer, do your research and ask around about them. Hence, leading into this blunt topic; "IF I CAN'T GOOGLE YOU, YOU'RE NOBODY!" Like I said this is not a put down to those that are striving and are on the come up. This is simply going out to the one that are perpetrating the fraud to infringe on many gifts and talents trying to make a profit their musical gifting. Anybody can build a website, join other social sites just to build web presence. But there are questions that looms; What are their motives in this Music Business? Are they in it cause they have natural gift of melody & talent? Are they in it to help somebody make it successful through the knowledge they've gained in the business? Or are they in this business to rip off other talents for their personal success and longevity?
You may think this music industry is very huge and large; but you have no idea how little and small a circle this industry is. And you think folks don't know what's going on, well you better open up your eyes to see the hell that is happening in the music business. Thus you must keep your focus on where you're going, what you're doing, and who's in your circle, if you plan on becoming successful. And based on my experiences I had to eat the meat and spit out the bones on many occasions. Meaning I had to separate the real from the fakes and the haves from the have nots. Don't go on their words but go based on the fruits (accomplishments) of their labor that they've produced. And the consistency of their work ethics. Anybody can talk a good talk and claim that know this person and that person; but the question is what kind of relationship do you have with that individual? This music industry is based on relationships; and it's not what you know, it's about who you know. Taking pictures with Diddy, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Usher, or whomever, does not denote that you have a relationship with them, that's just you being in the right place, right time, and catching them in a good mood for them to take a flick with them. DON'T GET IT TWISTED!!!
If you come across somebody who claims they're someone of importance, that their interested in you as an artist, want to work with you, get you out there and take you to that next level, do your research on them by Googling them. Check their resume of the work they've done and ask other people around about them. Be straight up with them ask questions. And if they really are who they say they are, it's all good. If not, you know what you should after that. This will save you from being conned into giving up any money. There are many no named fraudulent music companies trying to con you into investing money into them cause they ain't got no job, they barely got their stuff together and their trying to get known themselves, cut them off. Obviously they came to you with the right intentions, and they themselves should have some capital to fund into you. If that's the case, invest in your own self, until God allows you to meet the person who's going to invest into you largely to help take you to that next level. Not to knock NOBODY'S hustle. I understand we're in a Recession, times is hard and we're all trying to make it in this life keeping our heads above the waters. But for crying out loud be real & straight up about who you are, and what you are trying to do before you waste my time and patience. #IMJUSSAYIN
Next step all artist should do their Google research on is Showcases and the Promoters of them.
These are my Showcases & Promoters that I highly recommend and approve of for all artists. And their resumes speak for themselves:
1) J Hatch of Inasirkl Music Group - Get Your Buzz Up Showcase
2) Adante Ace of AOS Entertainment - The Streets Have A Voice Showcase
3) A.D. The General & Team N.A.N. - Elegant Hoodness Showcase
4) DJ Ace of Spades & Team Spades - Indy 500 Showcase
5) Jesse Jess Atkinson of Urban Threshold Enterprises - A&R Revue, A&R Power Summit, Underground Music Awards.
6) Slims Da Bank of F.L.O. Empire - Lights, Camera, Action Showcase
7) Chalant of Faces In The Crowd Showcase (4 Artists signed to Major Deals through this showcase)

Their showcases have helped my career a whole lot. And whenever they say they have major folks from the industry in the building there, they are 100% on their word that they're in the building. And artists get a lot out these showcases when they network and build relationships with these folks of importance in the industry. However, there are some out there that lie, charge artists a whole bunch of money just to be in their showcase, tell them that so and so from this label will be there, and they're not there. Artists are disfranchised, frustrated and aren't getting anything out of their showcases. Some of these promoters don't have real jobs, so they'll be like 25 to 50 acts in 1 night, charge them $250 to $300+ to rock on stage for 15 minutes, all this just to pay their rent and their bills off your money. And you're not getting to where you need to go as an artist.
If I didn't mention any other showcases or promoters out there, either cause I don't know or did any shows with them whether good or bad, or simply I don't want to put anybody on blast of the ones I do know, #REALTALK
Like I said I'm not here to impress anybody, or try and please anybody, as if I got it all together. I told y'all what I've done and achieved. I want to see my people make it and I show love to every artist I come in contact with. I'm always here to give advice and share wisdom with others from what I've learned these past few years. I own my own indie label with major distribution with Universal Music Group. I'm a living witness of what hard work and patience brings about. Thank you all for your taking your time and reading my blog. All my fellow unsigned artists be bold and courageous in pursuing your career. Don't let nobody waste your time. Just simply tell them IF I CAN'T GOOGLE YOU, YOU'RE NOBODY!!!

I want to see my people make it and I show love to every artist I come in contact with. I'm always here to give advice and share wisdom with others from what I've learned these past few years. I own my own indie label with major distribution with Universal Music Group. I'm a living witness of what hard work and patience brings about.
